Taking New York. Well, the music at least.
The show is awful and has been slated in more ways than I care to imagine; some have described the show as being nothing more than “a poor man’s Made in Chelsea” whilst others have become massive addicts, going so far to choose the show as a blog post topic. We may also need to talk about the value of life and how I may appear to be wasting it on insanely obvious trashy-like (okay. No. Definitely trashy) television. It is e4 after all - but, I’m still addicted. I’ve gone too far.
Aside from being completely obsessed with the love lives of the blonde twins; whether Jamie will man up and realise that sleeping around is not an option; if Georgina is more of a Lucy Watson figure than I initially realised (the dislike to start was real strong) and whether Sophie and Matthew Charles are really good friends or if the chemistry they have will actually spiral them into a whirlwind romance (the last episode is promising for this, by the way) the music was absolutely incredible in the episode that was aired on Monday 16th March. So now I feel we need to talk about that more than the (basically? awful - but highly addictive) “structured reality” storyline.
So, first up, y’know, like - err - who is in charge of their music? And, secondly, where on earth do they come across such new gems? Through the whole duration of the show I was sat there with my music encyclopaedia (in other words, Shazam, my holy bible) making sure I knew every single song. I have made a little Soundcloud playlist for your personal enjoyment below. Trust me, it’s so worth it.
P.s I am loving JUCE, so expect a separate post on them later today!
Enjoy the music and get into that summer mood.
