For me, this is a slightly different post; largely because Erin Kim's (otherwise spelt Ehwhenkeem) music sits at the other end of the spectrum to the other types of music i've previously blogged about. I love his voice, style and everything else in between but this is the first musician to help add real variation to Liquid Entertainment.
So, Ehwhenkeem is an acoustic soul hip hop musician born and raised in Los Angeles, USA. He plays the guitar, sings and is also a pretty good rap artist. He has played many shows in Northern and Southern California (wishing that he would come and play in the UK sometime soon *hint hint*) and has supported many artists. He was also on the USA version of The Voice, season 7. He released an album in 2014 titled Wednesday at 10 - which is available to purchase on iTunes - and is now working on a hip-hop soul mixtape, of which I am pretty damn excited for. His voice is soft, his style hip-hop mixed with soul, R&B, blues and jazz and his lyrics true in every aspect of the meaning. With some musicians, you have the ability to tell that everything is coming from the heart, and that's what I love most about Ehwhenkeem's music. He is doing something that he believes in, loves and feels passionately about. He would prefer be himself and take 10 years to get noticed, rather than produce something to make money and be falsely entered into the charts next week.
