New York born and London based singer/songwriter and guitarist Alexa Dark is one that I think a lot of people need to watch out for. Her music has been described as indie rock, which bodes very well with me, thank you.
Having previously lived and worked in North London for around 3 years, I am surprised that I never came across Alexa, seeing as she has performed at well known event establishments such as the 02 Academy in Islington and various places in Camden (personally, my favourite borough) but, alas, I have now made the discovery, a few years too late admittedly, but I think I should stop moaning and be grateful that Alexa is on my musicsphere at all.
So far, there are a modest 6 songs on Alexa’s Soundcloud; the covers I have to admit I don’t like, but I am a massive fan of her original songs, which can be seen below in the introducing playlist.
Alexa Dark is currently working on a debut album, which I believe is to be released sometime in the summer of 2015.
